At the core of each rig is super high-strength 2.3mm PVC-coated stainless steel cable, delivering exceptional durability while resisting kinks, corrosion, and wear. Combined with corrosion-resistant aluminium and stainless hardware, these rigs are designed to perform in everything from sheltered farm ponds to wind-pushed coastal lagoons without rusting or weakening over time.
Texas rigs have become a go-to system for many experienced waterfowl hunters for good reason. The 4oz 1.2m Standard Duty rig is ideal for standard or oversize duck decoys in calm water such as ponds, creeks, and sheltered wetlands. The 6oz 1.5m Heavy Duty rig offers extra holding power for faster water or windy conditions, and works well with larger decoys such as super-magnums or goose decoys. For the toughest environments, the 8oz 1.8m Extreme Duty rig is designed to keep larger decoys anchored in strong wind or moving water where additional weight and length make the difference.

Each Sou’Wester SS Texas Rig is assembled by hand in New Zealand, ensuring attention to detail and consistent build quality across every pack.
